| |
Hello, I was wondering if someone would be able to point me to where I can find information on how to use the new ethertap device in the 2.1 kernel. THe only documentation I have been able to find was in the ethertap.c file itself and that did not do me much good.
I would appreciate any help on this.
I am hoping I will be able to write raw IP frames to it and it will redirect them to the correct interface, through the kernel. It looks like it may be able to do this, but I have not been able to get any where just playing with it. See the 2.0.30 kernel did this when you would send AW IP frames to the LoopBack device through a SOCK_PACKET socket, but the 2.1 kernel no longer does this. I will gladly accept other suggestions on how to do this too.
Thanks for your help.
