I have a much more urgent request: have the code that builds all the header files also *please* generate a header file for stuff like __SMP__, CPU, MODVERSIONS and other compile-specific options. It is bad enough (but unavoidable, and at least /usr/src/linux is a good default) that a third-party module has to ask the user to point them to the proper kernel headers; it is a *nightmare* that they currently has to reproduce all the friggin' kernel compile options.
