Hmm, your output is my envy, mine looks older (and slower):
Bus 0, device 17, function 0: VGA compatible controller: Cirrus Logic GD 5430 (rev 34). Medium devsel. IRQ 12. Prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xf0000000.
but it always worked on my P100/40MB RAM with XFree86 3.1.2 and keeps working now under XFree86 3.2. I don't have a soundcard...
