SubjectKernel panic: EXT2-fs panic
HELP! I've gotten my first kernel panic! I have *no* idea what to do.

I've got a Gateway G6-200 PPro/200 w/ 128M, a BT-958 SCSI adapter, a 2G
Seagate Baracuda (narrow) and an external Jaz drive. I'm running the
stock 2.0.18 kernel from RedHat 4.0 + updates. Twice in the last
two days, i've gotten errors like this (yesterdays):

Jan 7 14:21:37 gumby kernel: scsidisk I/O error: dev 08:11, sector 528
Jan 7 14:21:37 gumby kernel: EXT2-fs error (device 08:11):
ext2_readdir: directory #2 contains a hole at offset 0
Jan 7 14:21:39 gumby kernel: scsidisk I/O error: dev 08:11, sector 528
Jan 7 14:21:39 gumby kernel: EXT2-fs error (device 08:11):
ext2_readdir: directory #2 contains a hole at offset 0
Jan 7 14:21:41 gumby kernel: scsidisk I/O error: dev 08:11, sector 16
Jan 7 14:21:41 gumby kernel: Kernel panic: EXT2-fs panic (device
08:11): ext2_write_inode: unable to read i-node block - inode=2, block=8
Jan 7 14:21:41 gumby kernel:
Jan 7 14:21:41 gumby kernel: scsidisk I/O error: dev 08:11, sector 2

Both times, the error was belched out when trying to access the Jaz
drive (sdb1), and required a reset to reboot. After reboot, e2fsck
found no errors on the Jaz filesystem, although the system disk (sda2)
came up with numerous errors, no doubt due to the reset, and with no
problems noticed after it was up.

The funny thing is that the scsidisk error says dev 08:11; is it refering
to:

brw-rw---- 1 root disk 8, 11 Sep 12 1994 /dev/sda11

? isn't that a bit odd, since I only have an sda1,2,5,6,7,8 and sdb1? or
am I just not understanding what it's saying?

Any hope for my system?
