SubjectRe: Jive -> Kernel (International Linux) (fwd)
All I can really say is that while the kernel does have an enormous enough
set of printk's that translating would be a pain in the ass, the kernel
doesn't talk to the user often enough to make it even close to worth while.
Most German's would barely notice a German kernel if syserrlist[] and ls
messages and whatnot were still in English. And doubtless the translation
would be crappy because, honestly, who cares about this enough to translate
a few thousand strings without getting impatient?
