(I couldn't get this through to the maintainer listed at the top of the file <khollis@bitgate.com>, so I'm posting it.)
I ran into a problem while attempting to build Linux 2.1.20 -- the code in drivers/char/pcwd.c does not support both Rev. A and Rev. C of the card at the same time, but the configuration script allows one to select both. Is there a way to (in order of preference):
- get the code to test for and auto-configure the card revision
- have the configuration script be smart enough to prevent specifying both revisions at the same time
- have the code detect the incompatibility and report it with a #error rather than failing with a compilation error?
Thanks!
