I've just upgraded from 2.1.8 to 2.1.19 with the only changes being turning on PCI optimizations and upgrading from ext2fs 1.02 to 1.06
As a result I've lost about 13% of disk space (mostly recently used files) and I get hundreds of block errors that I ignore on startup. The filesystem is still read-only so no modifications have been written to disk, I'll probably be able to salvage the system.
The other change I noticed has to do with route. 'route add -net 127.0.0.0' no longer works, and neither does 'route add -host IP eth0:x', they both complain about the netmask.
I have an Adaptec 2940 and WD network card, 64mb ram, latest stable libc, gcc 2.7.2.1, ld, etc.
Any insight would be appreciated, and happy new years day everyone :>
