Various cache and memory timing test run with the cache enabled and and disable seem to show that the cache settings (enable/disable) provided by the BIOS are not preserved, is this the case? It is difficult to verify memory timing code without this capability. I could perhaps understand overiding the SETUP cache disable setting in SMP, but not in UNI.
