Hiho
(Linus: There is no new information for you in this mail, I just forgot to CC my reply to the mailinglist, so I write it again).

pre-patch-2.1.0-#2 boots for me now, but some things are still not working: - When I compile a kernel as a bzImage it doesn't boot (the computer resets just like with the old pre-patch-2.1.0. - The initial ramdisk doesn't work. It gets loadad and mounted, but then linuxrc isn't started (I don't use compressed ramdisk images). - Modules don't get loadad for me. Can someone please give me a summary of the modules problems of 2.1.0 because I have accidently deleted the mails about this topic. (I've written an ugly workaround for the "A module named ... already exists" problem by looking in /proc/modules if the module is really already loaded. But insmod still doesn't work, it even causes oops now.)

Yes I use a 486.

No, the BSD ncr driver still only works IO-mapped :-(
