Works well on my old 386. I haven't benchmarked it but screen-update-
intensive curses apps like lynx seem to work more smoothly.
Moreover, the patch looks clean and it doesn't collide with the
noblink patch. I hope this makes it into the official kernel (and
noblink as well).
