: Be very very careful, the linux probes are in a very specific order to work : right. Its taken a lot of testing and a lot of people to get it tuned
It still is not good enough: to avoid that other drivers run into the "black hole" of a NE2000 card or clone (reading from 0x10 above the base address will stop the bus), the ne driver should be the first of all net drivers within the initialization sequence.
