Hello !
I want to edit kernel sources so that I could set Linux to understand my 130 meg RAM , does anyone know where to edit.
Yup, I know that it is possible use LILO but I don't want to use it because I do not use it.
Two suggestions here if anyone want's to hear.
I have seen in a few modern machines an option in BIOS setup, that BIOS could use an another method of reporting amount of memory if operating system is NT.
So if NT can use that option maybe Linux could too.
An another idea that I think is that if there were a common settings file in kernel sources where I could set all the values I ever wanted the kernel to know or LILO command line parameters.
Jari.
