Step by step I unpatched and compiled 1.3.61 until I finally had a .60
kernel and it failed like the .61 kernel. Seems like I changed one of
the kernel options sometime or other. :((

But I finally discovered that the problem was the address of the
shared memory segment of my tokenring card. The old setting was
D8000-D9FFF and with this setting I got these seg faults in
get_hash_table. Then I reset the card to CC000-CDFFF and now
everything works fine for me.

(I hope noone wasted any time by looking at patch-1.3.61 !!!!!) sorry
