Hello all, I am trying to get a JVC XR-W1001 scsi cdr drive to work under Linux. I can read normal data from the cd, but can't read audio (with cdwtools) or write anything. I keep getting SENSE errors. Any use of the /dev/sg* devices gives permission denied. I have tried both Linux kernel 2.0.0 and 2.0.10, with generic, disk, and cdrom support with no luck. All other scsi devices work fine, but I cannot get the generic ones to work. Any ideas? Thanks, Dave McGlumphy (davem@cotf.edu)
