I have several machines, and I've noted that some machines will
spontaneously reboot when a power blink occurs, and others will survive
and continue as if nothing ever happened (I have one non-UPS-non-x86
that survived a 1/2 second power blink). Same goes for clocks.

Get a (good) UPS and see if it will reboot randomly...
