If you can reproduce your error at the same place, I think you had disk is going bad. If you are still on guaranty, try to reproduce the error with dos. Scandisk istn't enough. Get the utility from Western Digital to scan disks: http://www.wdc.com/new/overlay.html If you can reproduce, bring the disk to your dealer.
If no guaranty, you are on your own. You can try to reformat with excluding the bad blocks and watch if more errors appear.
