I had 4 machines that stayed up with 2.0.0 over three weeks. Since 2.0.0 things have gone downhill.
I have experienced various recurring problems. NFS is still problematic.
I wish I knew what this meant: Jul 23 10:21:22 deanna nfsd[86]: impossible hash_path[0] value: 08077450 f4 9a050800000000000000000000000026372921060b56f9f7f4f400
Since 2.0.0 (This wasn't happening in 1.99.x or earlier) I have been getting messages like this one.
Jul 18 08:58:58 deanna kernel: Out of memory for xemacs.
It generally seems to occur when XEmacs is starting up, and seems spurious because there is always >30MB of available core+swap when it dies. I've been over XEmacs enough to be sure this is not an XEmacs problem.
I wish I knew what this meant (I didn't get them before 2.0.0, and they don't cause a crash, though sometimes a lot of interactive processes have to be killed before the machine resumes normal execution):
Jul 3 12:35:29 deanna kernel: Couldn't get a free page..... Jul 3 12:35:39 deanna kernel: Couldn't get a free page.....
Jul 20 02:32:06 deanna kernel: Couldn't get a free page..... Jul 20 02:32:45 deanna last message repeated 4 times Jul 20 02:33:46 deanna last message repeated 6 times
I have always observed this message with greater than 30MB of swap available according to `free'. It seems more likely to occur when I am running XEmacs 20beta (10MB binary) with the executable on an NFS-mounted disk and Netscape is also running. But with so much swap available, I don't get it.
Are these normal, or are they like the UDP checksum bug that plagued machines running BIND for awhile?

I've gotten quite a few of these NOQUEUE messages:
Jul 15 23:05:57 deanna sendmail[93]: NOQUEUE: SYSERR(root): getrequests: accept: Network is unreachable Jul 15 23:18:02 deanna sendmail[93]: NOQUEUE: SYSERR(root): getrequests: accept: Network is unreachable Jul 15 23:18:44 deanna last message repeated 3 times Jul 15 23:33:03 deanna sendmail[93]: NOQUEUE: SYSERR(root): getrequests: accept: Network is unreachable Jul 15 23:33:44 deanna last message repeated 3 times Jul 15 23:56:25 deanna sendmail[93]: NOQUEUE: SYSERR(root): getrequests: accept: Network is unreachable Jul 15 23:56:43 deanna sendmail[93]: NOQUEUE: SYSERR(root): getrequests: accept: Network is unreachable
