Subjectdebian 2.0.0, 'make zImage' error
all that downloading, all that unpacking, all that configuring and
compiling...
i figure it's got to be me, i've got to be missing some small but essential
package.
'make zImage', after a couple of minutes, returns the following:
bash: as86 : command not found

then it's error this and error that and exit. lilo finds the
uncompressed image
to be too large and make install returns the same error.

i hope this is because i didn't get and unpack bin86.deb, but i have
been wrong
several times in my life. bin86.deb seems the most likely suspect. am i
right? any
clues?

it's so cool that i got all the way to 'make zImage' this time.

tia
