all that downloading, all that unpacking, all that configuring and compiling... i figure it's got to be me, i've got to be missing some small but essential package. 'make zImage', after a couple of minutes, returns the following: bash: as86 : command not found
then it's error this and error that and exit. lilo finds the uncompressed image to be too large and make install returns the same error.
i hope this is because i didn't get and unpack bin86.deb, but i have been wrong several times in my life. bin86.deb seems the most likely suspect. am i right? any clues?
it's so cool that i got all the way to 'make zImage' this time.
