i am assuming that because ftape is built into the kernel, that this becomes an appropriate place to raise this question.
when i run tar -cpvf /dev/ftape -X tape.noarc /
it get the tape backed up to about 3/4's(estimate) and then it stops the process with this statement:
tar: only wrote 9216 of 10240 bytes to /dev/ftape
can someone direct me to where i can find the answers?
