Two things:

- You have probably upgraded binutils. You then also have to upgrade
the modules package as well, either by applying the modules-1.3.57-patch
from my web-page, or by getting modules-1.3.69k.
Someone has put this (semi-)official snapshot on sunsite .../Incoming,
so it ought to be easy to find...

- It look as though you have tried to insmod the msdos module without
having loaded the fat module first. Use modprobe or kerneld instead,
so you won't have to remember the stacking order of the modules.
