Well, I admit it: I was playing with ISDN (a line, a board and noone to talk to...) Anyway, when I started two version of ucu - a terminal emulator similar to cu - and dialed the same isdn number - mine - from two different sessions, I got the following
general protection: 0000 CPU: 0 EIP: 0010:[<00199a6d>] EFLAGS: 00010006 eax: 003e8db8 ebx: 00000001 ecx: 00000000 edx: f000e987 esi: 00000002 edi: 00000101 ebp: 00000002 esp: 003e8d9c ds: 0018 es: 0018 fs: 002b gs: 002b ss: 0018 Process ucu (pid: 5110, process nr: 27, stackpage=003e8000) Stack: 003e8db8 00011a24 00011a24 00000000 000119a4 00000101 00000000 00000001 0000000e 00000000 00010358 0040dc10 00000000 001ddef2 00d3dd58 001cf584 003e8e44 001ddef3 003e8e04 001ae189 001cf537 003e8e5a 00000000 0019e810 Call Trace: [<001cf584>] [<001ae189>] [<001cf537>] [<0019e810>] [<001a0b03>] [<001a0b03>] [<001a1863>] [<001a1b0a>] [<001a1b1d>] [<0019ef71>] [<0018795e>] [<001842a3>] [<00121495>] [<0010a692>] Code: 8b 42 1c ff d0 55 9d 89 d8 83 c4 04 5b 5e 5f 5d 83 c4 48 c3
that ksymoops translates as:
Using `/usr/src/linux/System.map' to map addresses to symbols.

Curious thing is that after the oops (I still haven't rebooted), few messages from the isdn controller go to the console as well as being logged by syslog (debug).
I will now reboot. I expect that the messages will disappear. If the isdn4k people are interested in the messages, I can send them some...
Ciao Carlo
