SubjectThreas Question

Maybe this question is stupid. If so, flame me.

Does the kernel support Threads?
Where is that support?
Is the thread support working with multi processors?
Does the kernel distribute threads among several CPUs or keeps it on
the same CPU?
Does the kernel manage time-sharing among threads? (i.e. are the
threads preemptive)
