I was messing around recompiling my kernel a few days ago ... and decided to compile it with kernel profiling enabled .. now what I get is I type last -f /proc/profile and it gives me * * Wed Dec 31 18:00 - 18:00 (00:00) * * Wed Dec 31 18:00 - 18:00 (00:00) * * * Wed Dec 31 18:00 - 18:00 (00:00) * * * Wed Dec 31 18:00 still logged in
I know I shouldn't be messing with this because I have little to no idea how it works ... but am I reading this correctly .. I am curious to what my kernel is doing -Joe -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Joe Jaszkowiak |311 Shady Lane Computer Science | NDSU |Bismarck, ND 58501-1781 jjaszkow@prairie.nodak.edu |(701)222-4117 jjaszkow@orac.acm.ndsu.nodak.edu |jjaszkow@cx12.sod.cc.ndsu.nodak.edu *** http://space.acm.ndsu.nodak.edu/~jjaszkow *** ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Everyone got sick of my quote :( ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
