The author/maintainer of this said something about read/write a while ago as far as I can rember, went something allong the lines of 'I don't want to release the read/write support until it's totaly debuged'. I could be wrong, so don't quote me on that.

Well my ATAPI NEC-260 locks, so it could be your cd-rom drive, not all can lock.
