I used to run linux on my old 170 meg IDE drive and i could NEVER get ANY kernel after 1.3.48 to EVER not panic when VFS was loading my fs. So after much frustration and the need for more megs, i got a new 500 meg HD. I installed all my stuff from backup, and tried to compile a kernel after 1.3.48 and it STILL PANICED! Now i just downloaded 2.0.0 and compiled it and i STILL get a stupid panic. What the FUCK?!?!
