SubjectNetworking error messages in 1.99.7

I've got another machine with the repeated socket destroy delayed
message. What's [semi-]interesting about it is that this only cropped
up when the http server on it began to use the 3c509 interface (by
manual change of the routing tables), it had been stable for quite a
few versions when serving http across its wd80x3. Perhaps part of
this problem is driver dependent.

Here is where this one is coming from:

I am now receiving very frequent UDP checksum error messages. They
are primarily occurring on machines where I have [just added]
authoritative name servers. A handful are occurring with NFS.
