Hmmm. I had that weird value being passed in too, but I recompiled
1.3.69k and with an options line of

options block-major-25 sbpcd=0x230,SoundBlaster

I now get

sbpcd-0 [02]: Scanning 0x284F67C (LaserMate)... sbpcd-0 [03]:

(0.75) at 0x230 (type 1) sbpcd-1 [05]: You should configure sbpcd.h
for your hardware. sbpcd-0 [06]: data buffer size: 8 frames.

Why is it trying to scan that weird looking port number first??
