Subject1.3.98 bug
I started having problems with my lilo getting bad geometry errors, and
then I noticed my partition table was getting differnent physical logical
endings in fdisk. I went so far as to fdisk the drive, rewrite the
partition table, format it and installed RedHat 3.0.3 instead of Slack
2.2.0. The partition table and lilo worked just great under 1.2.13, but
when I compiled and booted 1.99.6 i noticed the same problems back to
haunt me. I remembered that the problems started when I was running the
mid to late 1.3.9x kernels. So I grabbed the source for 1.3.94, and
started compiling, and booting untill I started having problems, which
was at 1.3.98. The problem is only on /dev/sda which is a 1.0 gig
Quantom Fireball scsi-II

in 1.3.98 I get these errors:
[root@blkstang /root]# lilo -v
LILO version 17, Copyright 1992-1995 Werner Almesberger

You must set heads.
You can do this from the extra functions menu.
