Sorry, knew that. Was published in the Grauniad ten years ago.

For another source of cartoon penguins, check out a collection of Steve
Bell's IF series from the above journal. He has regularly used
penguins as characters for 15 years. There is a lovely example
from 1986 with a really evil looking penguin with extended flippers
with nasty looking claws, and vicious teeth entitled 'Jack the Flipper'.
