SubjectNMI Hang in 1.3.9X kernels.
Hello!

I am getting an error when I copile the stock 1.3.9X kernel (where X
has been 4,5, and 7 -- 6 untested). The error message is coming from
arch/i386/kernel/traps.c :: printk("Uhhuh. NMI received. Dazed and confused,
but trying to continue\n"). This shows up after the "VFS: Mounted root
(ext2 filesystem) readonly.", presumably before "Adding Swap: 33788k
swap-space". When I turn off the PCI bridging options, things boot fine.
I am using a Gateway P5-90 running at 100MHz (Neptune Chipset),
Adaptec 2940, Fujitsu 1.08GB (kernel within 1024 cylinders), 32MB RAM, 34MB
swap. Is there anything I can do to help the 2940 and/or PCI developers
track this NMI down?

Thanks!

Dan
