umm. uhuh. I am Vlb and get the same error at bootup while mounting 2nd ide channel (isa). It started with pre-2.0.1 and is still present in pre-2.0.4. Promise2300+ controller with a 270meg (maxtor) ide drive. It does not happen with bootup of another partition with kernel 1.3.94-1.3.100. 640cmd is Pci problem.
