Well I only though they happened in Win*, but I just got my first on in Linux:

Hope this is useful to someone... It happened about 30 secs. after rebooting 1.99.3.
System specs:
uname -a: Linux stoned 1.99.3 #5-pre-2.0 Mon May 13 17:19:30 EDT 1996 i486
cat /proc/cpuinfo: processor : 0 cpu : 486 model : DX/2 vendor_id : GenuineIntel stepping : 5 fdiv_bug : no hlt_bug : no fpu : yes fpu_exception : yes cpuid : yes wp : yes flags : fpu vme bogomips : 33.17
Running all the recommended stuff in /usr/src/linux/Documentation/Changes, gcc-2.7.2, libc-5.2.18, modules-1.3.69f, syslogd-1.3, etc.
Wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary at the time. Restarted syslogd after the GP, and everything seems fine...
