I would like to cast my vote for uping the dmesg/printk/kernel message buffer from 4k to 8k. I think it would be better considering the number of useful options being added to the kernel (java for example) If you have a PCI Chipset thats recoginized, and a aha-2940 you are almost over your limit there. Of course I could just look at the /var/log/messages, dmesg is so much cooler.
On another note, I have recently got an error that my kernel is too big, what limitations are there? Any way around them, I like LOTS of drivers/options/ filesystems/etc.
