I have been running 1.3.95 with a totally replaced external cache and
got this oops after just over 25 hours of otherwise normal uptime.

There was modem activity and I was cutting and pasting between and
xterm and XEmacs when this occurred. The mouse froze, but the
keyboard and network were still active, so I was able to telnet in and
affect a normal shutdown.
