Like many others, I get errors from 1.3.95 in a single vein:
Starting daemons: syslogd klogd portmap inetd lpd fcntl_setlk() called by process 70 with broken flock() emulation fcntl_setlk() called by process 71 with broken flock() emulation Starting sendmail daemon (/usr/sbin/sendmail -bd -q 15m)... Running gpm... fcntl_setlk() called by process 83 with broken flock() emulation fcntl_setlk() called by process 82 with broken flock() emulation fcntl_setlk() called by process 78 with broken flock() emulation fcntl_setlk() called by process 80 with broken flock() emulation fcntl_setlk() called by process 77 with broken flock() emulation fcntl_setlk() called by process 79 with broken flock() emulation fcntl_setlk() called by process 81 with broken flock() emulation
Welcome to Linux 1.3.95.
tangiers login: myname No utmp entry. You must exec "login" from the lowest level "sh" fcntl_setlk() called by process 85 with broken flock() emulation
I get these almost every time I run something big. Has anyone else fixed this? How? Will later versions fix this?
The utmp thing is different. All I have to do is try again and it lets me in without the error the next time.
Thanks in advance...
