Subjectproblems compiling new kernel
Hi,

Well I'm pretty new in linux world... I've just downloaded the 1.3.92 kernel
version...
and tried to upgrade from a 1.2.8 ... I got these errors:

darkstar:/usr/src/linux# make zImage
gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux-1.2.8/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes
-O2 -fomit-frame
-pointer -fno-strength-reduce -pipe -m486 -malign-loops=2 -malign-jumps=2
-malign-function
s=2 -DCPU=586 -c -o init/main.o init/main.c
as: unrecognized option `-Qy'
/usr/src/linux-1.2.8/include/asm/bugs.h: In function `no_halt':
In file included from init/main.c:39:
/usr/src/linux-1.2.8/include/asm/bugs.h:21: output pipe has been closed
gcc: Internal compiler error: program cc1 got fatal signal 13
make: *** [init/main.o] Error 1
darkstar:/usr/src/linux# cpp: output pipe has been closed

I also upgraded my gcc...
I use this version:

darkstar:/usr/lib# gcc -v
Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i486-linux/2.7.2/specs
gcc version 2.7.2

That would be nice if someone could help me...

Thanks
