Hmm. Are you running any thing that tries to look at System.map? Have you upgraded your binutils recently?
I noticed that dosemu had a problem with System.map recently. It turned out that 'nm' that comes with the latest binutils creates a slightly different System.map now. There are a lot more leading 0's. I'm not sure why this is.
[ Btw, will this affect ksymoops? Which, I've never been able to get to work anyway and if anyone wants to help, I'd appreciate it. ]
I seem to remember that the developer of sysklog stuff was trying to add some of the ksymoops capabilities into those programs. But I don't remember what versions or anything. Perhaps one of those programs is having a problem.
