I have been running the 1.3.80 kernel for several days now and just ran into a problem. When I try:
mount -t msdos /dev/fd0 /floppy
I get back:
mount: /dev/fd0 is not a block device
If I fall back to my older kernel (1.3.75. Yea, I don't move forward often) everything works as expected and mounts fine.
lsmod produces the following under both kernels:
Module: #pages: Used by: sr_mod 4 0 msdos 2 1 fat 6 [msdos] 1 isofs 5 0 aha1542 3 0 scsi_mod 7 [sr_mod aha1542] 2 ppp 5 0 slhc 2 [ppp] 0 dummy 1 0
Does anyone know what has happened to the msdos file system since .75 to produce this? I lurk on this list but don't have the time to read every posting, so I could have missed this discussion already. Please be gentle with your rebukes :-)
