I would suggest to look at: ftp://tsx-11.mit.edu/pub/linux/sources/usr.bin/cdtool-1.0.tgz Also, if you want to have the CD eject when you unmount it, write a shell script (call it cdumount?) a la
#!/bin/bash umount /cdrom cdeject
Easy enough?
