[Thread deleted because every body knows it anyway] Perhaps we could split the kernel-x.y.z.tar.gz to seperate parts, eg... standard.kernel-x.y.z.tgz with the i386 arch, SCSI, IDE e2fs, minix, SLIP & PPP, and just stuf. net.kernel-x.y.z.tgz with ethernet drivers and such, with the other-than IP filesystems suport, IPX, etc. extras.kernel... with stuf like kernel profileing, extfs, other such stuf... 68k.kernel... for that arch. ... ... ...
They could all tust be untared in /usr/src and fill in the blanks... execpt the config scripts would need to check witch sets were installed...
