I'm have some Jaz disks (actually, about 30 of em) which were written on a Digital Unix (v3.2) Alpha, and would like to mount them on my Red Hat 4.0 (kernel 2.0.18, + all RedHat updates, BusLogic BT-958 host adapter) machine. DEC claims to use UFS as their native filesystem, but all attempts to mount those cartridges on my Linux machine have failed.
What am I missing about the UFS filesystem support under Linux, or, for that matter, what am I misunderstanding about UFS in general? Is it really not a 'standard'?
Thanks,
