I have received the following message:
pppd forgot to specify route netmask.
when connecting to my ISP ever since 2.1.15. i am using 2.1.17 right now... in my ppp-on script, this is the pppd line:
/usr/sbin/pppd netmask 255.255.255.0 connect '/usr/sbin/chat -f /root/.pppscript' defaultroute 38400 /dev/modem
I added the netmask 255.255.255.0, but it did not help. This is output from ifconfig:
ppp0 Link encap:Point-Point Protocol inet addr:204.118.88.15 P-t-P:204.247.1.2 Mask:255.255.255.255
Any ideas on how to remedy this problem? There is nothing wrong, aside from seeing that pppd warning message pop up 3 times after i connect.
