Just installed a Triton II motherboard with a Cyrix 686 P150+ into a linux system. It boots fine, but hangs at 'VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem) readonly'. I've tried booting off floppies with various kernels as well, all with the same results. I'm really not sure if it's a hardware problem, a BIOS setting, or a kernel problem. I've seen reports on this list of similar problems with Cyrix 686's after patching the kernel for special 686 optimizations, but i'm having this problem running various custom and stock kernels, none with any Cyrix patches. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd really appreciate them. Thanks.
Roy
