Well, I suspected some interaction of this kinfd, actually. But: with my
older setup, kernel 2.0.20 (more or less ...) and dosemu 0.64.0.xx with
xx high (I cannot say exactly, it was a release near to 0.64.1) I never
noticed it. It seemed to work correctly. well, it's possible that in the
las tthree months I managed to use floppy from dosemu only shortly after
using it from the shell... really I do not use the floppy too much.

No, I never saw this. Weel, thank you for the info. I think I will
compile in floppy module :-).
