SubjectRe: Which of the latest 2.0.x-versions is stable? None with NFS?

I recompiled amd, and cp /net/.../linux-2.1.14.tar.gz /dev/null still
brings the machine to an undignified halt within a minute or two. No panic
message, nothing in the log files, just a complete stop.

Just found that cp /.automount/.../linux-2.1.14.tar.gz /dev/null also
does it, just not as quickly. Fair enough, since it's only one NFS mount
it's going through, not the two suffered by the first one.

So I think it's the NFS support in the kernel, not amd. I thought as much
anyway - even if amd was completely screwed, it shouldn't bring the entire
machine grinding to a halt if the kernel's sound.

Is anyone looking into this problem?
