Well, I'm glad to see that my posting made it out ..

No, I'm in Canada - our time change was a week before, but you're right
the coincidence is "interesting". (Also, this started happening early
on Friday morning - not Sunday morning - and repeated itself every night
until ...)

To follow up to my later postings, disabling xntpd has cured this
problem.

So - did anything change in the implementation of timers or adjtime or ...
between 2.0.0 and 2.0.24 ? Inquiring minds want to know what was going on.
