I am of course reading this _after_ booting and torturing my VFAT fs.
So far, no OOPSes, no usual "kernel stack corrupted" messages either.
Now to boot into Win95 and scandisk everything (remind me to backup
my drives one day).

I've not tried the "long and complete" patch, just the "short and sweet"
(hmm....that rhymes) patch. I'll try to adapt the long patch for v2.1.13.
