After some thinking, I decided that the best place to ask about quake would be the linux developing people :) Since we all know (with linus as a great example) that thats where we spend most of our time anyway. ;)
Here's my problem... I have xquake .92 with the pak file that works for it. It works peachy keen. :) Yay. But the thing is, when I tried loading 1.06 i receive this error repetivly. ;)...
aurora:~/aurora/quake# xquake-1.06 -nosound Added packfile ./id1/pak0.pak (308 files) FindFile: can't find gfx/pop.lmp Playing shareware version. Error: You must have the registered version to use modified games aurora:~/aurora/quake#
Even when I tried using my registered version of quake for the pak file it still did not find that file.. I was wondering if anybody knew of a site with a "Quake in a Box" type of package for 1.06... :):)
All help would be VERY appriciated ;)
