yeah, read it, downloaded it, ftp crashed, regot it and all seemed ok,
but it wasn't the case... the tar file doesn't untar so that's why I'm
missing it. Just tried to compile without the latest binutils, hoping
all the rest were ok with the older ones :-)

Gotta wait for the low cost telephone time, this evening, for retry...

Thanks to Peter and all the others who promptly answered my "mayday" :-)

No. Maybe thats the case for Charlie but I get the same error with a
slackware installation. I've configured appletalk and IPX as modules, and
make modules;make modules_install places the newly compiled modules in
/lib/modules/2.1.13/misc/appletalk.o and ipx.o
And then I go
#depmod -a
and get the same errors. And it IS newly compiled modules, I did a make
clean before compile.
