Even if that has nothing to do with money, it is a kind of "marketing strategy" and I am not very pertinent about such things.
But I imagine that if Linux would be able to support chinese abacus (in French: boulier chinois), we would have lots of new "customers". :) :) Linux for all men and women ! :) :)
